Officine Maccaferri accelerates with “Maccaferri Futura”: sailing, technology, and sustainability in a unique challenge

The Maccaferri Futura Two-Year Project

Officine Maccaferri sets sail into the world of ocean racing with Maccaferri Futura. This two-year project combines high-intensity competition, technological innovation, and environmental commitment. At the helm of the Class 40, designed to tackle the toughest offshore regattas, is Luca Rosetti, a rising Italian talent and winner of the 2023 Mini Transat, ready to push both performance and sustainability to the limit.

Discover Our Natural Challenge

Maccaferri Futura is more than a sporting venture: it’s a floating lab. Thanks to key scientific partnerships, the boat collects valuable data to monitor ocean health, by combining passion and responsibility.

Sergio Iasi, Chairman of Officine Maccaferri, states:

“With this project, we aim to push the boundaries of innovation and sustainability, bringing our competitive spirit to the ocean.”

Stefano Susani, CEO of Officine Maccaferri, emphasizes:

“Sport and sustainability are core values for us. Maccaferri Futura shows that high performance and environmental respect can go hand in hand.”

Mauro Roversi, Founding Partner and CIO of Ambienta Sgr, adds:

“Ocean racing reflects our vision of technology and passion in harmony with nature, an exciting and essential challenge.”

Sailing into the Future

With Maccaferri Futura, sailing becomes a platform for innovation, elite sport, and a concrete commitment to the future of our planet.
