Maccaferri Futura is in Lorient: Luca Rosetti prepares for his first major ocean race

New operational base: Lorient, Brittany

After 15 days of intense sailing, Maccaferri Futura has finally arrived in Lorient, the new operational base in Brittany, where skipper Luca Rosetti and his team are already focusing all their energy on the next challenge: the ocean regatta Les Sables – Horta – Les Sables.

It will be the debut in open and demanding waters for Maccaferri’s Class 40, a crucial moment to test the boat in real conditions and fine-tune every technical and tactical detail. “The result will be important,” explains Rosetti, “but above all it will be a fundamental testing ground to face the Fastnet and Transat Café l’Or races with even more preparation and confidence, decisive stages of our journey.”

Lorient will become the “home” of Maccaferri Futura for the next two years, a strategic place in the heart of European ocean sailing. Here, the team will be able to work with professionalism, calmness, and dedication, bringing a touch of Italian spirit to French waters and preparing the boat and crew to compete at the highest level in the toughest challenges of the international circuit.
