The first leg starts very well for Luca Rosetti and Matteo Sericano
The first leg of the Les Sables Horta begins very well for Luca Rosetti and Matteo Sericano. After an excellent start on the pin, they crossed the entire fleet ahead and rounded the offset mark, leading the group. Thus began the longest stretch of the race, where Maccaferri Futura sailed consistently in the leading pack with very tight distances. Just past Cape Finisterre, the guys anticipated the descent southward compared to the group, which allowed them to pass the navigation exclusion zone in first position.
At this moment, 10:00 AM on 30/06, Luca and Matteo are sailing solidly in the top ten, within a very narrow margin of 10 miles, with a north wind of about 15 knots and an average speed of 15 knots.
We are almost halfway through the course, and it will be a tough battle for the top positions, where Maccaferri Futura has proven it can confidently hold its own despite this being its debut race!
